Seurat does not impress…

I guess pointillism doesn’t really excite Lucy.

We’ve had a good visit with Lucy’s grandmom, especially because the weather in Chicago has been unseasonably warm. We’ve had an afternoon at the Art Institute and lots of time enjoying the sunshine.

Lucy is still in that phase of walking where she looks like she’s been on a horse too long. She is so excited about having her own autonomy of movement, even if there is quite of bit of stumbling and tripping.

Chasing her own shadow. Oh, the thrill!

Having a houseguest and the terrific weather mean that I haven’t given a thought to a single house project, but I know that the incoming winter doldrums will change that. For now though, it’s been nice to just focus on family. What are you all up to? Back to the daily grind? I predict that 2012 will be a great year for us in terms of accomplishing house-stuff.  At least I hope so.
