tis’ the season

for jackets, boots, and sweaters to clutter every available corner of our house. Our new mud room helps a whole lot, but I still think we need something by the front door…

Very DIY-able.

look, a squirrel! I think that the squirrel is our family’s patronus. for real.

I would love to do this in a play room with chalkboard paint on the wall behind it. You could add buds in spring, leaves in summer, icicles in winter, yada, yada, yada… someday.

Are you ready for Turkey Day? I’m not, but I’m working on it. We are going over the river and through the woods to pk’s grandma’s house. I’m a bit apprehensive about how Lucy will handle the change of routine and sleeping arrangements, but I’m so excited to see our gathered family. What are your plans?

  1. I LOVE the wall hook designs that you just posted. Gotta do it. A+ for your chalkboard paint plan. Back in the day, our dad painted the sliding closet doors in our bedrooms with that — never a dull moment.
SO… what time Sunday, ‘re y’ thinkin’…? A certain auntie arrived from the Big L.A. last night, wantin’ t’ know.
    TRAVEL SAFELY! xoxoxoxoxoxo

  2. I love the first one with the twigs. Cool. I don’t care for the other ones. The first person to get a good looking mudroom 24/7 will get the Nobel prize.
